Longing is a fictional album developed as a conceptual continuation of The Art of Loving by Olivia Dean. While the original album explores love as an experience, Longing focuses on what remains when physical presence fades.

The project is built around the idea that longing can evolve beyond absence, becoming a quiet sense of closeness that lives on through memories, places, and everyday gestures. “O conforto na saudade”.

The visual identity is based on the fragmentation of the image as a metaphor for memory: some fragments remain clear while others gradually dissolve, reflecting the way memories shift and evolve over time.

The project includes the complete design of a vinyl edition, comprising the front and back covers, inner sleeve, record labels, and supporting graphic elements, creating a cohesive visual system that extends the album’s conceptual narrative.
